Short Bio
Sunwoo Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Inha University, where he leads the Large-scale Machine Learning Systems Lab. He received his B.S. and M.S. from Hanyang University and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University, followed by a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Southern California. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked at the Memory Solutions Lab, Samsung Electronics. His research interests include numerical optimization-based machine learning, federated learning, and systems-efficient machine learning, with a focus on making large-scale model training more efficient across heterogeneous computing environments.
